This is a fairly good article talking about some of the gains possible with neurofeedback. It is rather conservative in its reporting in that it says there are over 200 studies on the efficacy of neurofeedback. I have conducted a literature review and have over 700 studies. To critics who make the claim that "there is no research evidence," I can certainly point them to a couple studies. As always, the research is not as good as we would like, but it certainly is not as bad as it is portrayed.
